The world oscillates between peak of cold and heat
You have certainly realized in recent months : the weather conditions are confusing. Between storms, a cold spike in the United States and a heat spike in Australia, it’s not understanding anything. The world seems to oscillate between polar cold and tropical heat…
Extreme weather conditions, between peak of cold and heat
No need to go far back in time to realize the impressive differences in temperature that can exist at the same time of the year. During 2017 and early 2018, two regions of the world experienced unusual and extreme weather conditions: Europe and Yakutia (or Sakha Republic), in Russian territory. Indeed, while Europe has just experienced one of the hottest years in history in 2017, Yakutia has recorded temperatures down to -62°C in early 2018 !
In 2017, all of Europe has seen the rise and the consequences of global warming. It was also one of the hottest years in history, according to the European body monitoring the environment of the planet. France, for example, was experiencing a very large heat wave, with an average national temperature of 26.4°C in June 2017. Faced with this situation, the OMPE had even launched the Heatwarming Challenge in August 2017, to realize how much temperatures could go up ! But, if this wave of heat was worrying, it was mainly the reflection of the activity of the Man : + 2% of global emissions of CO2 !
However, not far from Europe, the weather conditions are quite different at the beginning of 2018… In Yakutia, region of a republic of the Russian Federation, records temperatures of -62°C on January 14, 2018. This is a record cold peak ! This year, winter has been much colder in Yakutia than usual. Conversely, during the same period, Australia lived the hottest day ever recorded since 1939, with temperatures approaching 50°C!
A climatic upheaval with numerous consequences
This succession of peaks of cold and heat is indeed a sign of a climatic upheaval that is not without consequence… If we observe quite easily the global increase of temperatures, a multitude of other climatic phenomena have also visible in 2017 : hurricanes, floods but also drought, water shortages and forest fires. The Far North was also subject to global warming, with a much thinner ice cap than usual for the same period.
If this situation does not date from today, it seems to intensify. It is therefore high time to do everything in our power to make up for the considerable delay we have made in global warming. The OMPE already wants to put in place the CO2 absorber and greenhouse gases to allow the slowdown of global warming that modifies the state and living conditions on our planet Earth. We ask the support of a sponsor to put this solution into action, real and effective, as soon as possible…
